FAQ .:> Small Groups

"See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's
deceitfulness.
" (Hebrews 3:12-13)

What are small groups?
Small group families are comprised to about 10-15 people, and are a central part to Pulse. Small groups are a wonderful way to get to know fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. We focus on Life on Life, and in building healthy Biblical relationships. Our goal is to grow together as a body of Christ, and to foster an authentic community where we can experience God's work.

We also want to deepen our personal relationships with God. Through small group, we can have a safe environment to share praise stories, as well as struggles. Small group is also a great place to have accountability to ensure that we apply God's word in our daily lives.

We have launched small groups to different areas of the Bay Area with more coming soon!
1. Sunnyvale/Cupertino: 1 small group
2. San Jose (Milpitas area): 1 small group
3. Fremont: 1 small group

What do you guys do in small group?
Each small group meets weekly, and consists of Bible study, worship, and prayer. In addition, small groups are designed for great fellowship through games, interaction, and service/outreach to our community.

How can I join one?
If you have any interest in joining a small group, please use our Small Group Sign-Up Form below. It is never too late to get plugged into a great community!

FAQ .:> CAM (Creative Arts Ministry)

What is CAM?
CAM stands for Creative Arts Ministry. Were a group of people that love mixing the uniqueness of art & faith and reforming it in a way to reach todays college students.

So what do you do in CAM?
CAM incorporates much of what makes our Friday Night Gatherings happen. Everything from advertisements/flyers, website work, scheduling skits/testimonies, to the musical worship is worked on by CAM. Well typically meet a few weeks before a particular meeting to think up ideas, and create a flow for our gatherings.

Is CAM just for those creative artsy type people? I cant even draw a straight line!
No way! There are many opportunities to serve in CAM without having to possess artistic talent. One way in particular that may interest you are brainstorming in CAM meetings. When we brainstorm ideas for our gatherings in our meetings, we put forth one principle. No idea is a dumb idea.
Other ideas are setup and breakdown crews, A/V tech (training provided), and sound/lighting (training provided).

Can you give me more examples of ways I can serve?

FAQ .:> Outreach Ministry

Though we are far from perfect and often live messy lives, God has begun His transforming work in our lives through the power of the Gospel. As God pours out His blessings upon us, we're not to be hoarders, but givers. God desires for us to give ourselves to others. He calls us to reach out to the lost, lonely, and the least. Our attitude is not one of arrogance, but of humility and service. If you want to be used of God to serve others through the community service projects, outreach events, and short-term missions, then join us and experience life transformation!

What is Outreach?
Outreach Ministry exists to take the gospel to our friends (local), our campuses (regional), and to the world (global). This can be in many forms, with one-on-one meetings, to Lifeline on campus (where people explore community and their relationship with God), to local and overseas missions.

But why do we need to tell people about Jesus?
If we have the best thing in the world, and know it's the best thing for others, why wouldn't we share that? Jesus Himself also tells us "19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. "

What are some of the fun things in Outreach Ministry?
We help to plan for the biggest events on the Pulse Calendar! One of the key things about Outreach Ministry is we want all of our events to be fun for people to come. Some events we've done in the past our ice cream socials, Broom ball nights, pool nights, and more.
