This week, we celebrate our graduates as well as what God has been doing in our group this whole year. With the event taking place at the Dulce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, we're in for a treat, and the theme for the banquet is a Masquerade Ball. Friday Night Live!
Join us as we come together for a time of worship, relevant teaching, and celebration! We're at the end of a series called "The God Hunt" and be searching through the scriptures to find out more about these qualities and characteristics of God's character.

Lifeline is a community group where students can meet together and explore who God is, and what Christianity is all about. We've had a lot of interest for what Pulse is going to be doing on the SJSU campus, and this will be our new outlet. It's a great place where people can meet others who may have questions about Christianity and are just exploring who God is, and the claims that Jesus made.
We'll be meeting in the Student Union's Guadeloupe Room from 6:00-7:30pm. For more information, you can contact the Pulse staff.
The team that went to Bakersfield is back! And they'll be sharing about the amazing things that God did while on the trip, how their lives were changed, and challenge our thinking with missions, inner-city work, and the poor.

This year's Spring Retreat is coming up fast, and we want to get the word out to you to get ready! The theme is set, the speaker is ready, and all that's left to do is for you to sign-up! Registration cost is $120 with checks made payable to Great Exchange Covenant Church, and you can sign up either at Pulse on Friday nights or at our table on Sunday mornings. Invite a friend out as we discover how we can be people know by our faith, hope, and love.

inter.act Nights at Pulse is a time to come together as a ministry and hang-out, fellowship, and get to know each other more. Activities may include games night, scavenger hunts, flag football, ultimate frisbee, and more. Each one is different, but provide opportunity to get to know people in an welcoming setting. Attention Pulse! We've been invited to attend Momentum, a PC event catered to Pulse and others of our congregation. We'll be getting together at the Exploratorium on Saturday, October 28th. There will be a light program, dinner, and time to explore the exhibits at the Exploritorium. The best thing of all is that it's FREE! Completely Free! There is a registration and RSVP process that is taking place. We'll update you with more details as soon as their available.
We've been asked to help out with providing childcare for one of the Unstoppable Personal Communication Events. We'll be helping at the event taking place at the Sunnyvale Community Center on 10.21.06 from 6:00pm-9:30pm. We'll need some great support of guys and girls to help out as an expression of love to our church. If you can help out, please let us know by emailing us at pulse@grx.org.

Pulse returns next week for Fall Launch! Join us as we come together for a time of worship, relevant teaching, and celebration for the start of our new year! Our Fall Launch starts on Sept 8th, and we kick it off with a new series called "No Strings Attached: Freedom From Past Pains"

This will be the start of our weekly Friday Night Gatherings, be sure to come out to see what the other students of Pulse have been up to on their summer break. It will be a fun time to worship, and catch up with one another.
This last Friday night was the 1st Pulse Friday that we've had since June, and was it good to be back together or what! During the summer, small groups have been gathering together in different regions and having a great time together, and we definitely felt the excitement in the air as people continued to pile into the worship cafe. It was a refreshing experience to join together, reunite, and worship our Almighty God. And we must say, the worship team did not disappoint!
For the first time in a long time, we had a full and complete band (w/ a bass finally!) and boy, were the sound levels cranked! We sang songs to God in the intimate, soft lighting without much reservations to express our worship. Pastor Steve preached an awesome message on King David and how he became undignified in his full-out worship to God and how we too can resist the resistors and worship the Lord. Westgate's worship cafe was almost packed, with people scattered throughout the back of the room. It was exciting to see many familiar faces as well as new faces that evening. Everyone could feel the energy and excitement after the night was over as people hung around to talk and connect.
What a great night it was, to be able to gather again as brothers and sisters in Christ. We hope and pray that as God moves us forward, lives would continue to be changed, new people would be reached, and God would receive more glory, worship, and praise through our lives.

Wow!It's amazing how the summer is just blowing by! I hope that you're doing well and chilling with God every day!Since the end of June, we've been in small groups, and it's been awesome to hear about how friendships are being deepened and how people are doing life on life!
This Friday, July 21, we will gather as one to worship THE ONE who is worthy of all our affection and devotion.We'll be meeting at West Gate Church
(1735 Saratoga Ave. San Jose 95129) at7 PM for a celebration service to worship God and to hear from His Word.The theme for this celebration is "Hungry for Him" in which we'll talk about God's presence and glory in our lives.

A few Announcements:
On Friday night, we had our last Friday night meeting for the school year. We celebrated all that God had done in Pulse through this long last year. It's been a blast! Actually, it was so much fun, that for our end of the year banquet, we threw a FIESTA! Lots of great grub was around by La Victoria's (with their amazing orange sauce), we had some awesome worship, 4 testimonies of what Pulse means to them, body worship, a skit, and a super end-of-the-year slideshow! Pictures and downloads of various things are being compiled for online viewing.
